Weight Loss FAQ’s at InShape Medical in Cary, NC
When looking for a medical weight loss program for yourself or a loved one, it is reasonable to have many questions! You want to make sure that you commit to something that will deliver guaranteed rewards for the time, money, and effort you put into it. At InShape Medical, we have done our best to answer some of those questions regarding our first-rate medical weight loss programs!
What is the difference between a medical weight loss program and losing weight by myself?
No matter how determined or diligent you are in your efforts to lose weight on your own, a medical weight loss program can provide you with invaluable resources and professional guidance to help you on your weight loss journey. Medical weight loss programs offer different supplements, injections, and ways to help you unearth more energy in your waking hours. They also do not stop with weight loss but provide you with ways to maintain that weight loss. Moreover, when you are discouraged on this journey, our wellness coaches can listen to your frustrations, encourage you in whatever you need to keep going, and can even use their expertise to offer resources that may make the journey more comfortable in certain ways.
Will I be hungry on the diet?
Many of the weight loss programs we offer at InShape Medical actively reduce your hunger and appetite! As such, the diets that we provide will help to satiate your appetite more efficiently and enduringly. Foods that are high in sugar and unhealthy fats often exacerbate our cravings and make us feel hungrier than we actually are. Our diets are filled with foods that increase your metabolic function and reduce excessive cravings.
Are there side effects of this diet?
Any adverse side effects of the diets we offer at InShape Medical are usually due to preventable circumstances, such as an underlying medical condition or contraindication for the diet. For this reason, we screen for contraindications or medical conditions in the free initial consultation to make sure each client we take on meets the required qualifications and avoids any adverse side effects.
How often do I have to come for appointments?
During our medical weight loss programs, we prescribe weekly weigh-ins with your wellness coach to monitor your progress and well-being. These weekly weigh-ins help make any necessary adjustments, celebrate your accomplishments, and provide any needed moral or practical support. Some of these weigh-ins can be conducted via the phone or video call, but we recommend in-person visits once per month. Depending on your program, you may also require weekly B-12 or lipotropic injections, which must be received in-person.
Do I have to log my calories or keep a food journal?
Logging your calories or keeping a food journal helps keep track of how well you are sticking to the weight loss program. As such, while it is not required for you to count calories or keep a food journal, it is recommended if you are the type of person who thrives in a well-organized system!
How long does it take to get an appointment?
At InShape Medical, we pride ourselves on providing timely appointments for all of our prospective clients! That said, availability varies from week-to-week. Typically, we should be able to see you within a day to a week of the day that you schedule an appointment with us.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
We provide free initial consultations for our medical weight loss programs at InShape Medical! As such, a doctor’s referral is unnecessary, as our medical professionals will evaluate your eligibility for the program during this consultation. All you need to do is call us at (919) 629-9261 or schedule an appointment with us through our website!
Can your clinic help someone who has been on many diets and failed?
Absolutely! We ultimately realize that some weight loss programs that work for some people do not work well for others. That is why we are proud to offer various weight loss programs to ensure that we can meet your individual needs. The weight loss programs that we offer include The Countdown HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) Diet, The Slim-Down Quick Weight Loss program, The Sugar Slayer program, and Prescription Appetite Suppressants.
Can a person with a busy lifestyle be successful?
With the right help and flexibility, you can still be successful with our medical weight loss programs, even if you have a busy lifestyle! Our wellness coaches can make any necessary accommodations to your specific plan so that you can meaningfully engage with the program and reap the program’s benefits without sacrificing essential aspects of your lifestyle. Furthermore, during our weekly weigh-ins, our wellness coaches can also work with you to figure out ways to balance your weight loss program with your busy lifestyle.
